| Hi Nancy, I'm new to the group. My husband died Oct. 3, 2011. We were married for a little over 30 years. Our kids are all grown and even live in another state so now I'm totally alone. Sometimes I wonder what I'm going to do next, it's been harder than I could imagine. I'm fortunate to have a couple of neighbors that do their best to keep me busy and I work part time. Still, the loneliness has been brutal and the past 2 months I've been sadder than sad. Last week I got something I swore I wouldn't get again....a puppy! I named him Buddy because he is my buddy and the best decision I've made in a long time. I now have people I don't even know come visit and am starting to find some new friends. I know no matter what I'll always miss my husband but having Buddy has really been good for me. I hope you'll find peace soon. Sandy |
