| A little about me: | ...One way that I would describe myself is, as being the surviving daughter, of a loving father. He was also, a Computer Scientist, and in my eyes, a very good example of a man. My mother, although she was rather abusive, also did suffer, from mental illness. She was, an artist, spiritual, and a part time school teacher. I refer to myself, as being an aspiring musician, who plays guitar. I also like percussion. Some history on me is that, I have been regularly involved, with mental health services from since, I was the age of eight. I was institutionalized, a total of fifteen years, from the age of fifteen, and then periodically, until I was age thirty-eight. For the past twelve and one half years, I have not been in contact with my only sibling, my younger brother, whom I dearly miss. Being on MDJunction for me, is a wonderful opportunity, to involve and evolve, in a positive direction with others. People, who absolutely can relate with me about, and understand the inner workings, and outer doings that are brought on by, or result from being diagnosed with having mental illness. Here, I am gratefully finding relief, from stress factors, that come from stigmas, which can be created in society, regarding mental illness. With various persons from all over, together we relate our experiences, share our strengths, comfort and console one another, as we help each other, along the healing process. MDJunction.  | Hello, To all of my friends, group members, newbee's. Sorry, I haven't been on. My cousin passed away at age 41, we were all very sadden by this loss. Please say a prayer for my family.
