MDJunction to me

nvrsubtle"Not having any local Bipolar support groups where I live, MDJuntion has given me a place in which people understand what I am going through and has given me a new outlook on life with support that is real and good. Without
the support that I receive from MDJunction, I would be wandering through
life with no one who understands me. I owe so much to MDJunction for giving
me a life line to help get me through the toughest times.

A little about me: I've always had physical challenges throughout my 53 years of living. They have become progressively worse, especially in the past year or two...I was working an an RN but was on FMLA for an excessive amount of time. They have now terminated me....I filed for Federal Medical Disability, and after my agency losing my paperwork and a lot of other headaches, I am waiting for a determination. I filed for SSDI back in March of 2011 and am also waiting for a determination from that. My husband died from ALS in 2006, and because of the costs involved in caring for him, I have no savings whatsoever.

Despite all of these challenges, I have been blessed with a wonderful family-- a daughter, her husband, & my first grandchild, a 4 yr old girl; my son & his wife...Both my daughter & daughter-in-law are pregnant now, and I'm looking forward to the new babies. My family brings so much love & light to my life--I cannot really complain, when I look at what really matters. If it weren't for them, I'd be homeless.

I hope to give some support to those who need it, & make some new friends along the way. I've been having some real challenges lately, & thought I'd try getting some support from those who are experiencing some of the same things I am...and, remember, I'm here if you need me.

Peace & Love to all,

"I took care of a little boy while I was a hospice RN who had Osteogenesis Imperfecta; this is in his memory, and all of those who afflicted with it. Also, I was first diagnosed with CFS prior to my diagnosis with FM....for all of those who battle with CFS every day. I was abused as a child; for all of the children who suffer needlessly."

"In memory of all of the hospice patients I cared for, & for all of those who are receiving hospice care right now. I also get migraine headaches, and my rheumatologist has deemed me Permanently Disabled."
