A little about me: Married at a young age to my in-denial unmedicated but college educated and "smart in his work" diagnosed (by a psychiatrist) bipolar husband. We have 2 college age kids who are really sweet. I try so hard to give them a "normal" home experience. Just waking up to the reality of it all, figuring out why he has had this behavior, and wonder if I should KEEP HOPE that he'll go back on medication (3 bouts of mania). His bipolar worsening was triggered about 4 yrs. ago by a life threatening illness w/pulmonary embolisms and he's never been the same since. His family never will talk with me about it, they think I'm the problem. My husband's mother definitely has symptoms of bipolar and she has always been mean to me and my other sister-in-laws. Looking to support one another on this website and am determined to have a good life, whether husband and I stay together or not!
