| A little about me: | Where shall I start? Well, I am 6'2 and I played basketball all my life. I was offered numerous scholarships to play ball in college, but in January of 1997, which was my senior year in high school, I developed a blood clot in my brain and almost died. It was during my 32 day hospital stay that they discovered that I have a rare blood clotting disorder called Protein S Defiency. I have been on blood thinner since I was 17. Needless to say, my doctor said that it was too dangerous to play basketball in college due to the risk of getting hit and bleeding internally, so I had to turn down my basketball offers. I started abusing pain medication when I was 16. Throughout the years, I also did cocaine, pot, crystal meth, heroin and every other drug known to man except crack. My BIGGEST problem was with opiates. I am proud to say that I am a different person now!!! I was diagnosed with having bipolar in 2005, only to find out in January of 2012, that I had been misdiagnosed. I was really upset at first, but I am just glad that I am getting off the medications that were never needed in the first place. I suffer from Protein S Deficiency, Anxiety/Panic disorders, Sporadic Hemiplegic Migraines, ADHD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Epstein's Barr Virus. The doctors also believe that I have Fibromyalgia, however, I try not to think about that at this time. I have tried so hard not to let these things hold me back. I have worked with juvenile delinquents since 2006. I love doing that. Now since May 25, 2012, I am off work since it is summer. I will not be getting rehired at the school. Well, praise God, I got hired at the Sheriff's Department from july 2012-February2013. ***I put in a notice at the Sheriff's Department on February 6th 2013. My Lt told me that I could work it out or I could just finish up the week. I have been hired back to work with juveniles and their families through the court system. I am thrilled!!! I love my family, friends and loved ones. I do not have a lot of friends, but I definitely prefer quality over quantity. I have met a lot of wonderful people on here that have become wonderful friends. I am an honest and caring person. I love animals. I have a pit bull named Grace, two cats, Sunshine and Cali.***ADDITION TO THE FAMILY!!! I brought. home a little baby kitten 9/7/12. She is dark, charcoal gray. Her name is Macey!!! ***ANOTHER ADDITION TO THE FAMILY!!! I bought a blue american pitbull terrier and her name is Karma! I love them all. I live in a very small town. I live in a country house with my significant other, Dee, and I love life. If anyone has anything else that they would like to know about me, please feel free to ask. I hope that you all realize how very blessed we all are even though we do have things in our lives that may not be just right! I hope that you all have a blessed day!
