MDJunction - People Helping People

MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

A little about me: I am 33 years old. I was diagnosed with pericarditis in November of 2009 when my baby was 7 months old.

I passed out, because I had developed cardiac tamponade. I was on my way to heart failure.

I had a large effusion (400 mL) that was drained via a pericardial window. They also took a biopsy of my pericardium.

After a battery of tests, the doctors said that it had been caused by a virus. I was put on prednisone after surgery and was on it for almost 2 years. I was also on methotrexate for some time.

I have been dealing with recurrent pericarditis ever since.

I have had great success using IV hydrogen peroxide therapy, and have been able to get off all of my medications.

My adrenals are shot, and I have hypothyroidism, so I am exhausted all of the time.

My Igenex testing came back that I have Lyme Disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Typhus Fever.

My LLMD was able to clinically diagnose me with Lyme Disease and Bartonella. I am on oral abx so far, and am doing really well! I have had almost 2 months of good days and no flares of pericarditis since starting abx on 7/12/12!

I love to help others, so message me with any questions. I would love to hear from you!
