A little about me: I am 37 years old and I have a ton of stuff wrong with me. I was recently diagnosed with Dercums Disease in 2010. I have IBS, Gurd, Acid Reflux, Hiatle Hernia, Barrett's Esophagus, BiPolar 1, Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Obesity, TMJ, Acute Sleep Apnia, Fatty Liver, High Cholesterol, Intristic factor (B-12) Malabsorbtion,Chronic fatigue Syndrome & AZOOR(Acute Zonal Occult Outer Retinopathy).

I have many more but unfortunately memory loss is one of them so right now I cant think of all of them. I have to get a B12 shot every month as my stomach wont absorb any.
I have had back surgery due to an accident and now have degenerative discs. I have the tailbone pain as well.

In 2008 I had my right ovary removed as it was the size of a volleyball. Im not sure if this is related to the Dercums but I thought it was worth a mention in case someone else here has had this happen as well because of DD.

I had to quit my job as an interior decorator because of my memory issues and back/feet pain. I have found an amazing volunteer job at a local thrift store where all proceeds go to the Pioneer Center to help peeps in need with disabilities and other issues. I get to make displays with the items for sale and every day new items come in. I only make it there maybe 2 days max a week for about 4 hours but its a great thing for me.
I currently just trying to get by every day without too many pain pills and I am hoping to try Suboxin soon in place of Percocet Im looking for people who understand the pain and people who can help me find the right doctors to help my condition.
Im so very happy I found this site, Luvens, Lisa
