| A little about me: | I found this site in summer 2010 as I was really getting drug in to the whole mental illness spectrum with a spouse diagnosed with bi polar. It was so nice to know that I wasn't alone, people understood what chaos was. In early 2011 I took the NAMI family to family class and it was a great educational and support group. Highly recommended to anyone with MI in their family. I now wonder if BP is the only diagnosis, or if he also has borderline personality disorder and PTSD. So, life goes on and sometimes I'm here, sometimes I'm not. Unfortunately the online presence seems to be stronger from people in crisis than during the good times. Self included. We have to remember the good times and learn to roll with ACCEPTABLE bad times. However, we do not have to take abuse in any form. We must be strong, we must hold our ground and retain our individualism. |
