| A little about me: | I am almost 40 years old and a mother of three beautiful kids. I have two daughters who are turning 18 & 15 soon and a son who is 10. I have been married 20 years this year (2011) to my wonderful and understanding husband. I have received the diagnosis of Dercums and I too have searched for years for the answers to these painful lumps in my abdomen and around my sides and now on my hips. I am very intolerant to heat and suffer from Fibromyalgia (which I was diagnosed with in 1998). I am glad to have found this support group. It has given me hope that this is not all in my head and that this pain and suffering is real. |

"My precious mother died at the age of 48 from Lung Cancer (also her mom died 5 years later from the same thing). I always will wonder if it was Mesolthelioma because they grew up in NJ next door to an aspestos factory. I miss her greatly!" |
