A little about me: Hi,

My name is Aimee and my story is similar to most on this forum. My vertigo started 6 years ago. About 5 months after i had my first and only child. Easter morning that year i will never forget it. I thought i was dying. LOL Since then I've been told by my PCP that it is allergy induced. I normally take the allergy meds and within a day or so I'm back to normal. Every year at the start of a new allergy season it came back and again antihistamines later it'd be gone. Really only affecting me a day or so. Nothing really to life altering i could still function. I hated these episodes but I wish to God that it would have stayed just allergy induced. Which brings me to this week July 5, 2010. I wake up with extreme symptoms of vertigo worse than my first day. I do what i have to do to get it together and take my son to summer camp thinking it's just a worse case of the allergy induced vertigo. Two days go by and the vertigo worsens something terrible. I can no longer funchtion, I get to the PCP and he tells me i have ear canal inflammation, my head is spinning so fast at this point i don't hear anymore of what he really says and he prescribes corticosteriods. i'm on day four of the med's and the symptoms are slightly better after 6 pm. but all morning i'm sick and spinning. He said by two days of the med's I should feel better but not yet. UGH....i am traveling next week by air with connections and i'm freaked out thinking what will i do...I'm hoping that reading through this forum i'll find some answers and be all better ASAP. Lot's of luck to everyone and I hope your vertigo goes away forever.

Regretfully, vertigo is only one of my conditions that tear up my life. I have scoliosis and that because of the rods i had placed in my back when i was 20 i am suffering from slight arthritis and some dengeneration in my vertibrae where their is no fusion. It basically for now just causes lower back pain that is manageable. Thanks Tyelonol and Motrin. Unfortunately, due to the curvature still remaining after my surgery. I wasn't tall enough to completely straighten my back, my pelvis is off it's not positioned correctly and I believe childbirth caused some of the worse pain ever sacroiliac joint pain. this is so crippiling and causes me to use a walker to be able to walk. I feel like I should be a 100 years old sometimes and i'm only 41. Well that's it for me and my problems. Although they are annoying and painful their could always be someone out there with something worse so bear with it and just keep moving. And so I do.
