MDJunction - People Helping People

MDJunction to me

fluffyluggage"I found MDJunction at a time when I was struggling with so much. I
was so sick. I found a home, a place where people understood me, when
even my family doubted me. In MDJ, I found a place of refuge, love,
and support. I come here daily, to find my balance, to cope, and to
find that same support I've found from day 1. MDJ is my new family.
The friends I've made here will remain with me for a lifetime.

A little about me: I am a married 41 year old woman with no children (unless you count my cats and my dog that I call my babies). I have a very loving and supporting husband even if he does not fully understand the pain and agony I go through on a daily basis. I was treated for Lupus from 2006 to 2009 with Plaquenil which held it at bay pretty good. However, my rheumy never diagnosed me with lupus. Then he just took me off of it in August 2009, and all hell broke loose for me. I developed severe swelling, rash on the outside of the feet and then cellulitis and vasculitis. The biopsy that showed vasculitis said it was caused from Lupus. Then my former rheumy put me on Imuran (100 mg) and Prednisone (60 mg), but still did not diagnose me with Lupus. It was very discouraging for me. I then found a new rheumy who actually listens to everything I say without interrupting. He does everything to help me. He is a wonderful doctor!! FINALLY!!
He also told me that I do have lupus.
