A little about me: I'm Holly. I'm 22-years-old. I was told by the psychiatrist I saw on January 20th, 2010 that it sounded like I was bipolar and was given a mood stabilizer (Lamictal).

I've always dealt with depression since I was 10 years old. My first suicidal thoughts were at 10. My father committed suicide when I was 11, and come to find out his brother committed suicide also when I was 2. I watched my mother "abuse alcohol" (to quote her denial of being an alcoholic during that time) till I was 17 years old when she found she was pregnant with my little sister. Fortunately since then she hasn't drank. I feel like I have a genetic predisposition to be CRAZY.

I've continually gotten worse over the past 10 years... with an immediate downfall in September of 2009 (why always bad things around my birthday?!). I left my second husband, divorced him, lived with an alcoholic, all the while working full-time in a doctor's office and going to school full-time at night... exhaustion + bad nutrition + alcohol from Thursday - Sunday = me breaking. My second husband realized how I was sinking and came to my "rescue" and caught me on a good day and I moved back in with him to work on our marriage and work on myself.

I now am a stay at home woman, though I plan on going back to school for either psychology or pre-med. I've worked for enough bad doctors to realize I can and would be a good doctor. I just know I have to handle these swings first so that I can make it through school hopefully.

I see a counselor once a week that is awesome, I've started seeing a psychiatrist, and am hopefully going to find some relief to my lows and my highs.

When I am able to do things that I enjoy I love to play guitar (11 years), piano (for 17 years), I write poetry, I build doll houses, collect Barbie dolls, and play World of Warcraft. I am also an AVID movie lover and am usually watching a movie. I have 2 cats - one being an obese female I call Fatty Button and another being a beautiful male I named Earl. I'm hoping to get a small dog when me and my husband move out and get into a house rather than an apartment. We're a bit cramped atm!
