MDJunction to me

JAYEPAWS"It means that finally I have someone to relate too. that I'm not the only one with these kind of problems. it really feels good not to be alone in this. I've made some good friends. I appreciated the support that I have found here at this site,

where as other parts of my life I don't get.
Thank you for being there & creating this site.

A little about me: My name is Marge and I'm 60 years old and suffer from both OCD and Bipolar Disorder. The OCD affects every aspect of my life and makes it very difficult for me to get things done. Most of the time, they don't. I guess I was fortunate (at least looking back on my lfe, it was better then) to spend the majority of my life in a highly manic stage. I didn't know that I was manic, that was ME! As the years progressed, it got harder and harder to be me. My energy just started slipping away. I ended up in the hospital in 1993 and they put me on the psych ward.
I had to go to the only psychiatrist my husband's insurance allowed and he just messed me up more. I've been off and on medication, sometimes due to no insurance and sometimes trying to find ME again. The bipolar part is controlled with medication - that is , it keeps me from being manic and makes me mostly depressed. The meds that could help my OCD interfere with the bipolar treatment. I sure would like to meet some one who suffers from both.
