| A little about me: | I'm 38, and have had bipolar and schizophrenia since at least age 13, if not earlier. I can look back on childhood things and see a lot of incidents that were attributable to both. Unfortunately, my stepfather didn't believe in mental illness and told me that I was "just trying to get attention". As a result, it took 23 more years before I finally got diagnosed again, and started treatment. Sadly, I'm nowhere close to stable, and have also been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, which amplifies the bp considerably. I'm working toward getting better, and one day I hope to be back there, and I'm also hoping to go back to school in the interim. MDJ has been a Godsend for me. I've made a bunch of new friends, and a few new enemies, as well. I'm able to be myself here, my whole self, without having to censor myself as in the "real world".    |
