MDJunction to me

jaguarandcubs"MDJ is an integral part of my everyday life. Since joining in 2010, I have met so many amazing people. It is truly incredible to be able to share good times and not so good times with others who face the same health challenges. And MDJ has support groups for every condition I have. I don't know of anywhere else that can offer that. I love that I can learn from others as well as offer my own experiences for others to learn from." (jaguarandcubs)

A little about me: Hi- I just turned 56 and live just north of Dallas. In June '06 I broke my little toe on my left foot and that Dec. 06 had to have surgery on it where it had not healed. Within a few weeks I was getting pain that was really bad, much worse than the post-surgery pain. I went back to the surgeon who acted like I was making it up, probably thinking I just wanted more pain meds. The foot didn't look really "different" yet at the time, but the pain went out of control. I have seen 4 other foot & ankle surgeons, 4 pain management doctors, 1 orthopaedic doctor (who diagnosed the RSD and sent me to a pain doc to confirm it) and another orthopaedic doctor later regarding a possible amputation which I didn't get but would still like to try. I would try a SCS if I could afford it, but I can't. I'm hoping to see a new pain doctor next week about trying ketamine infusions which she has done on a frind of mine. That's my next hope.

I live alone, divorced, children are grown and doing well. I have my "baby" who is a 2 year old English Springer Spaniel and she sleeps with me and is always either snuggling with me or wanting me to throw the ball for her. She' great. I have a granddaughter, Maddie!

a HugWell put in your message to Vallan!! You always have such an excellent way of putting your thoughts into words as never to make anyone else feel bad. I wish he would just leave our group and leave us all alone! Thumbs up Gail! Hugs,

Jen
