MDJunction to me

tomboykimi"What MD Junction means to me is a place where i can feel like im not alone. As someone with something as rare as hydrocephalus, it feels like im the only one in the world with it. When i came to MD, its like everyone has it. It doesnt feel like im alone. And that people need to hold up a sign to say what i have, because people know. And they understand. I can get questions answered from people who have been through it rather than from doctors or people who only can tell you from a physical standpoint. THat is what MD junction means to me." My Diary
A Cat's Navigation of FMS/CFS
In January 1996, I received a diagnosis of FMS/CFS; I was so relieved, finally to know what was gradually sucking life out from under me! Then they told me is FMS/CFS was incurable, little treatment was available and in fact, many in the medical community did not even acknowledge the condition. "Well crap..." I remember that response vividly. The internet became my friend and library almost instantly as I tried to find answers, meanings and treatment.
From that day to this day fourteen years later, I have navigated my way to a point of acceptance, management and proactive involvement in my care. Has it been an easy journey? No, but if you have FMS/CFS or any other chronic condition you already knew that. Daily it is still a journey; I learn new things all the time. Some days are good, some are borderline and some just suck! I do not loathe my life now it was a rough ride to get here. I hope by sharing some of my journey, someone else who is on the same path can find some solace, a giggle, a smile and always support.
