| A little about me: | Hello people . I thought it was about time I updated this . My name is Wendy ,i'm 41 and i'm here because I have agoraphobia and depression .I'm not sure which caused which but ive had anxieties around people ,periods of black moods and other symptoms on and off for years .despite that I only started getting help last year when I had a total melt down ,became suicidal and realised somthing had to be done . I was a chef in my former life but had to give up work just over a year ago ,which has been hard to come to terms with . Right now I cant get more than 50 feet away from the front door alone without panic setting in .And I have trouble with things like phones ,crowds ,speaking to strangers etc even when a safe person is with me . Luckily for me i'm married to a guy who puts up with all this without complaint .He has had 4 discs taken out of his back and osteo arthritis in both knees so he is in cronic pain all the time .We reckon we probably make one fully functioning person between us :-)and do our best to fill in each others gaps . Coming here gives me place where I can be honest about my illness and how it affects life without anyone asking stupid questions or treating me like its my IQ thats the problem (its amazing how many people do that ) Ironicly ,the people here are probably the most intelligent ,funny ,compasionate and tallented humans ive ever met . |
