| A little about me: | I have survived Crohn's for 30 years. I was diagnosed in 1989, but started having problems in 1982. I was able to keep my Crohn's under control for 15 years, with various medications. Unfortunately the last 15 years have been tough. Multiple hospitalizations from blockages, dehydration, resects and finally an Ili-Ostomy. I also have gotten medication and Auto-Immune related medical issues including, Osteoperosis, Eczema, Severe Headaches, very Low Bone Density, Fibromyangia, Vision Issues, Anemia, Dental Breakdown, Hernia's, Barrettes Esophagus, Vitamin Deficiency, Ringing of Ears and Kidney Stones. There have been easy times and very difficult times. The support of family & friends like you, have helped over the years! I am fairly new with my Ostomy, having it only for 14 months. So I am still learning the tips and tricks of it.. but loving it! I have been very involved with support groups for Crohn's, online and at home. Being involved here is a great support system for me! Family & Friends are supportive in their own ways, but they don't understand what we go through. I wish each and everyone of you the best! If you need an ear, shoulder or a hug, I am here! |

 | Glad to hear from you and hope all is well. I finished my chemo in November. I'm good but have developed a large midline hernia. Waiting to hear from my surgeon on when and what they plan to do. I sure hope the recovery and pain are less. I want to enjoy the warm weather if it ever gets here. Loved hearing from you. God Bless. |
