| A little about me: | I was diagnosed with occipital neuralgia August 2002. I've been to the best of the best from what I hear. I've had an MRI,MRA,Petscan,lumbar puncture,2years of trigger point injections combined with numerous opiods,2 facet blocks,multiple discograms,3 rhizotomy's,spinal nerve root block,occipital nerve decompression surgery followed by a cervical fusion 3-6. Also followed the route of a possible TMJ problem to no avail. Nothing seems to take this pain away. I've spent weeks at a time in bed. The pain and pressure in the back right side of my head brings me to my knees. Mine does not present as a headache. However the pain can certainly send me into a migraine. I tend to get a sharp pressure like pain that feels like someone is trying to rip my face to the back of my head. My only relief is an ice pack and a valium. This has been going on for 7 years and has taken my life away. Is there anyone that can possibly advise me. Wishing you good health, Susan |
