A little about me: Bipolar is a strange beast. It never lets you loose. You are tied to it. It follows you everywhere. I am married with one daughter. She is married and I have two beautiful granddaughters. I am so thankful that this time in my life that I don't have to deal with anyone except myself. I can sleep all day, I go days without dressing. I can watch TV or movies at night. I am free of everything except Bipolar. I always knew something was different in my life and now I know it was me. But unfortunaly we can't change the diagnosis. All we can do is try and keep it under control. I don't do control very well. This is one thing that has the power. We all use different ways of controling it or many more days it controls us. We do what we can to keep our heads above water. This is one illness I didn't want, I refused to have it be a part of my life but when it all comes to not having the ability to deal with it, I just hide under the bed and I really do that a lot. More days I am under than days I'm not. It is what it is and I deal with it as it comes. Nothing to do but try and survive. There are so many days I just do not want to answer the phone, want anyone over, just solitude.
My Awareness Ribbons

"I had cancer of the breast and had a mastecomy. This month is cancer awareness month. Please tie a ribbon or pin to wear If you don't have a cancer bracelet just tie a pink ribbon on you somewhere"

"I am such a strong advocate against child abuse. It is everywhere, whether your house is a mansion or a shack you never know what goes on behind closed doors. More and more ( especially women ) are killing their children and in horrible ways. So many families would give anything for these children that are killed and tossed like trash. Where is the justice?"

"Because of the love of children."

"Because I am Bipolar and this ribbon tells the world that Bipolar is indeed a serious illness."

"Awareness of cancer in general."

"Being permanently disabled is a hard life to lead."
