A little about me: Well, I have been on here for a while, so I think I'll update my story.
I don't know how much of this relates to CD, but I'll start at the beginning anyway.
I was always constipated as a child. I had hemorrhoids by the time I was 12. I was also 140 lbs. by 12. I stayed that way until I was 21, when I started to have heartburn really bad. I had ulcers and got put on Tagamet. I also had to have a hysterectomy that same year. I started to gain weight over the next 2 yrs. I was up to 180. I figured that it was from the surgery. When I was 24 I started to have gall bladder pains. The Dr. said that it needed to be removed. I did not have ins. at the time, so I lived with it for another 7 yrs. The pain was so bad that I couldn't even stand up straight and I would cry. I had the surgery in 2003. By this time I am 220 lbs. I have also had diarrhea since 1996. Ever since my GB surgery, I have gradually gotten worse. I have most of the symptoms of CD. I don't have weight loss, sometimes wish I did.
I started seeing my Dr. about 4 yrs. ago. He has diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia, IBS, Diverticulitis, and I can't even remember what else right now. I am so sick of feeling like crap. I am trying to get a colonoscopy, but here I am, still waiting.
Well, I got the colonoscopy and they said that they found nothing and I may have spastic colon or food allergies. Now I am pretty much back to square one.
I am beginning to wonder if my symptoms are from ulcers and excessive bile from the GB surgery. Maybe I need to have the scope done on my stomach?
