MDJunction to me

ITeach91"MD Junction has been a lifeline to me. The support and information I receive from group members is so important for me to maintain a good quality of life. I struggled with a diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency and did not know where to turn, but then I found MD and it has been one of the most important tools to help me to enjoy my life and stay as healthy as possible. We really are stronger together than we could ever be alone." (ITeach91)

A little about me: I am a 61 y.o. female who suffered a TBI 9 years ago. I have balance issues, no short-term memory & swisscheese
brain. I was unable to continue to work as an RN which was my career and I loved it. I also suffer from Major depression, PTSD, and panic attacks. In the past 14 months I have developed COPD, Emphysema and CHF.I also have a paralyzed diaphram on the right side. I have had no injury to the phrenic nerve and so no reason can be found for the diaphragm no longer functioning. If I can keep from developing any other illnesses I may live another 4 years or I may only have a few months.I live with my daughter and her two little girls. The oldest, age 7, has been diagnosed as bi-polar, ADHD and dyslexic just two years ago. She is on medication and doing much better. The younger girl age 4 is showing the same signs as her older sister did at her age.She has the same ADHD and bi-polar diagnosis and recently began medication therapy.
My daughter had a double mastectomy just a few months ago and just had her last in a series of reconstruction surgeries last week. She is doing well and we feel blessed for that.
