| A little about me: | I am 39 years old and have had digestive problems my entire life. At 16, I was diagnosed with IBS. At 24, I was told I suffered from Major Depression and by the time I was 26 was being treated as having Bi-Polar Disorder with a severe anxiety disorder. I was hospitalized three times and heavily medicated for 12 years. My health continued to deterioriate, physically and mentally. A few months ago, I have discovered that I am gluten intolerant and have many food allergies, including corn, eggs, and garlic. It is most likely that all my mental health issues and digestive problems stemmed from the gluten issue. I am looking forward to participating in this on-line support group to learning from others about how to heal through positive nutrition. |
