MDJunction to me

candjdog"MDJ is a second home to me. It is a place where I find unconditional support, where I never have to explain myself, and where I have the opportunity to use my experience to help others. Itıs a warm, caring place.
I feel so vulnerable in the world without others who understand me, but MDJ offers a safe haven for me. It inspires me to be a better person, a healthier person. Thank you MDJ (candjdog)

A little about me: Aloha, I am Maya. I am new to this group but have suffered from panic attacks and agoraphobia my whole life. I am a teacher and writing my memoir about living with this illness. I hope my experiences can help people get out of the house. I lived in a closet for years literally and raising four childen from this position was not easy. I am now teaching on meds and my big problem now is getting out of the house. I do it but it is still so hard and How do you explain to others about an illness you can't see. But I have accomplished much and though I lost a lot of time, in my fifth decade have accomplished more than in any other. I hope I make friends and if and when my memoir is published, it can help all of us heal together. Ps, it is summer and I don't have to work so yes, I am at home but I am not stressing too much about it because when I return to work august 3rd, I know I can do it. I am looking for friends who understand Mahalo Maya

a HugFor the month of May, I want you to all know how brave you are because of the battles you have fought within yourself and with society. You are all hero's! (Rape Forum Leader)
