| A little about me: | I'm a 40 year old woman who had a break up with my partner back in April of 09 and about a month or so ago I read apost on a forum that made me open my eyes wide open to the fact that I was a full blown co dependent! Now I have just about every Melody Beattie books and find myself in a 12 step program! The hardest thing about all this is hardly anyone I know understands this condition ,besides my therapist and the people at the meetings I go to. I have a friend who TRIES to support me ,but really doesn't know how, because she doesn't understand it and only gets angry because she does want to be there for me,but can't. On top on this I have Bi-Polar 2. I'm the type of co dependent that is clingy, that gives and gives in fear of losing and smothering that person, I don't give boundries. I don't state my needs. Yeah, I'm your classic text book co dependent and at times I feel like I'm going crazy. I lost my happy and self confident Jenny. Where did she go. I want her back. |
