| A little about me: | I am a happily married 55 year old Aussie lady living in California. I was an Associate Professor until Occipital neuralgia blindsided me and changed my life; including having to give up work. I spent 3 years 2 months and 2 weeks in severe agony with a migraine type pain that never stopped EVER. I suffered severe light and sound sensitivity and dizziness. I spent my days in bed searching for a cure. Dr. Robert bray Jr. CEO of the discmdgroup.com did a right occipital nerve release on Sept 27 2010. During surgery it was found that I had a genetic abnormality of an artery going through the greater and lesser occipital nerve and other branches and twisted them into a mass causing pain each time my heart pumped . Right side 8 months post surgery is 100% success. I had the left occipital nerve release surgery done on Dec. 20 2010. I had a third free surgery at the crown in June 2011.I also suffer SUNCT headaches or Short-lasting Unilateral Neuralgiform headache with Conjunctival injection and Tearing, it is a rare type of primary headache daily and complex migraine triggered by sound.
