We get many questions about what to eat and what not to eat from those experiences Hypoglycemia for the first time. Therefore, I wrote up some basic guidelines of foods to avoid and foods to include in your diet. I do hope this helps those struggling with Hypoglycemia for the first time.

UNDERSTANDING HYPOGLYCEMIA

This is the contents of a message thread in the diabetes forum (GO DIABETES) of Compuserve. It was written by Barrett Chapin, MD, who tells us his specialty is Endocrinology. The forum was about 8 years ago, but, this information is basic and still pertinent today. It is an easy read and gives on an understanding of what happens in Hypoglycemia. It is posted with his permission. Dr. Chapin is an Endocrinologist out of Laconia, New Hampshire. Please understand that some of this material is Dr. Chapin’s own perspective and may not be how another physician views Hypoglycemia and treats it.
