How to do Self Hypnosis in Six Easy Steps Print E-mail
Written by mooreinspire

hypnosisOne of the techniques I teach all my students, whether in community education or hypnotherapist  certification, is how to do self hypnosis.  There are as many different ways to do self hypnosis as there are hypnosis instructors.  This one is very simple to learn but incorporates many powerful techiques: yoga breathing, affirmations, deepeners, an anchor (relax), visualization (for goals), and releasing technique (the sack).  I have even included an abbreviated version for people with serious time crunches or those with anxiety or high stress levels who need more frequent relaxation.  Use this program for 30 days and notice what an improvement you make in your general well-being.  Let me know how you do.

Choose your beliefs wisely. They might save your life! Print E-mail

choose your beliefsChoose your beliefs wisely.  They might save your life!"  by Kathy Moore, MBA, BCH
I'm frequently asked if a person must "believe" in hypnosis for it to work for them.  My answer is: "It's already working!"
Whatever you believe, you have "hypnotized" yourself to believe it.  Whether you accept the oncologist's suggestion that you only have six weeks to live or your dad's suggestion that you will never amount to anything, you have hypnotized yourself to believe it.  As Viktor E. Frankl said in his book, Man's Search for Meaning, no one can force you to believe anything.
Remember that famous quote from Henry Ford:  "Whether you believe you can or you can't, you're right!"

overcoming-fearBob Diamond:  Being from Earth, as you are, and using as little of your brain as you do [5%] , your life has pretty much been devoted to dealing with fear.  That's what ‘little brains' do.  I'm just like you, but...I got over my fears and got smarter.

Fear is like a giant fog!  It sits on your brain and blocks everything...real feelings...true happiness...real joy.  But you lift it?  And buddy, you're in for the ride of your life!!

Understanding Illness from the Stress Connection Print E-mail

√ Stress causes every illness, and every illness creates more stress.
√ Illness results from more stress coming in than the body can handle. Think of it as a bounced energy check--more energy is being demanded from you and going out than you have the reserves to cover.
√ Stress is neutral--it can be from something “good”, i.e., getting married, having a baby, moving into your dream home or job, or from something “bad”, such as the loss of a job or relationship.
