Has anyone else developed cellulitus after their surgery. Its an infection in the soft tissue of the body and can be quite serious. I have been on antibiotics for almost two months now. Its really hard to clear it up. It developed in the leg area where I had the lymph nodes removed, so it wasn't caught early. It mimics after surgery symptoms: pain, swelling, redness, (almost looks like a sunburn. If anyone notices these symptoms.. don't brush it off go see your doctor.

wow! it sounds like what I might have...I was recovery great and just returned to work but one week later I am hurting bad and can hardly walk. No relief from the typical over the counter meds. My PCP said the surgery area looks red and irritated then tried to give me a cortisone cream for a minor vaginal discharge. I am seeing my surgeon Monday because my instincts say vaginitis is NOT the problem! It is so hard to know what is "normal" to the healing process and what are more serious warning signs!

I do believe your instincts are right. It might be a good idea to call your surgeon and ask about the new development and see if you can get in early. This is not an area where the wait and see really works. Good grief what are women supposed to do. During the healing process we already walk bow legged and restroom breaks are a whole novel in themselves. Update us and let us know what is happening.
