Hello...

I have been diagnosed with BPPV since 1994. I've handled that pretty well over the years and have had success with the epley. A week ago Thursday, I woke up and sat up and the room was spinning, so I thought...okay positional vertigo acting up, so I layed back down and sat back up and bam...unbelievable vertigo that lasted for 20 hours. My husband had to help me to the washroom and I was nauseous. I talked to my doctor and he said that I had an inner ear virus and that it would get better in a couple of days. It did. The following Wednesday I woke up and same thing...vertigo. This time it lasted for 8 hours and was a bit less intense. My doctor was surprised that it had resurfaced, but I had been really been moving my head in a bunch of positions the day before and he says it just reaggravated the area. Since then, I've been taking it easy and was surprised that last night I had a bout of benign positional vertigo when I looked to the left.

Does this sound like a virus just running its course, or something else. I would really appreciate any help that anyone could give me. I had an MRI in April and it was fine...what's going on?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is scary. Not knowing what I'm going to feel like each morning when I wake up. To say nothing of the time I'm missing from work teaching my first graders!

Thanks in advance. W00t
