My question: Am I the only one that has the following problem. For over five years now, I get severe vertigo when I eat certain foods. Spinach, walnuts, cabbage, raisins, bananas, eggplant, anything with soy, cheese, tea and others. If I continue to eat them I have ringing in my ears, my tongue feels tingly and I have mush for brains. My doctor has done dozens of tests and has not found anything wrong with me. My eyesight is affected as well. I feel embarrassed to mention it to anyone anymore...they think I'm nuts. Until I found out what was causing the symptoms (the food I ate), I was completly useless as a functioning/thinking individual. I feel better these days by being careful of what I eat but I'm still not 100 percent. Any enlightment would be greatly appreciated.
i totally understand what you are going thru - my prob is too much processed sugar like cakes and cookies and too much salt - when i eat too much of either my ears are in emence pain i get dizzy i have slurred speech or cant say a full sentence
now im not sure about your foods if you eat them plain but if you put salt on them it can cause your vertigo b/c salt holds water - your body takes a long time to process it - for example if my mom eats pizza - pizza has a lot of salt and it makes her ankles and hands swell
keep track of the foods you eat and watch what you put on them - if you ate spinach plain it might be fine but if you cook it and add salt then the salt is the culprit not the spinach
have your dr do blood work up for inflamation - my pcp thinks its hormonal - i just had that blood work us today - so next week we should know some sort of an answer with any luck
