37 married guy considering vasectomy..would like to talk to other guys my age whove gone through procedure..anything i should know? (already saw doctor) what dont doctors tell u? kinda personal thing u cant ask guys at cocktail parties u know?

I am pretty average, not unusual, and if I have a health complaint, there has got to be a good reason.

Getting a vasectomy is a horrible thing to do. It is the mutilation of a perfectly good organ. Think of it like this. I had surgery on one of my knees years ago. It was necessary because of torn ligaments - a bad football injury, and I had one of the doctors who was a famous sports doctor, fix my knee. Regardless, it has never been the same since then.

If you have someone invade your nutsack, your life will be changed forever. It will not ever work the same for the REST of your life. If the organ works, DO NOT have anyone touch it. Vasectomy is a mutilation of your genitals, and I would give everything materially that I own to go back in time and make the decision to not have that done. The term "SNIP" is an insult to the intellect. This is not minor surgery.

If you believe in God and have done you any favor with this advice, pay me back by saying a prayer for me, because I live with pain every day.
