Hi everyone, my names Brittni. I'm a 20 yr old student falling more in debt each day.

I was wondering if anyone could relate to what I'm about to say and possibly get some hep..I just went to the OBGYN today and she thinks that it could possibly be Vaginismus. I've have a healthy sex life for a few years now,no pain whatsoever. I've had a wonderful relationship for the past year and a half, however recently within the past 6 months any penetration has left me whimpering, dealing with a ripping burning pain, it feels like my walls are being shredded, that leaves me unable to walk. I've never felt anything like this and it seems it started over night and has continued for months. I fear sex with my lover now even though I want to have it. I cringe when he gets anywhere near my vagina and brace for the pain to come. I've had to take vicodin and soak in a hot tub for hours after sex, and yet I'm still left in tears after. Penetration is possible, but even the slightest brush up against my walls, fingers or penis, I'm nearing howling in tears. I don't have a problem with lubrication, I love and trust my partner so I'm unsure of what this is.

What do you guys think? Sad

Welcome to the group!! Sounds like your doctor is exactly right. I also think you may have vulvadynia also. From what I know the vaginismus will be the tightening. The vulvadynia is the SUPER pain.

What type of treatment(s) has been recommended?

Please look through our forum here. You will find a good bit of helpful info.

Also, you can PM me anytime with questions or when you just need a boost.

I feel your pain but can't wait to hear a success story!
