I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this. I have had fibroids since I was 25 (am now 37). I had a large one and some smaller ones removed in 2001. As far as I know, I currently have 2 small ones (1.5cm 2cm). I have all the usual symptoms: labor-like cramps, heavy bleeding, bloating, etc. One more thing to add to the mix though is having generalized anxiety. It began after a personal experience about 6 years ago. Panic attacks, anxiety, etc. Not really depressed. What I also ...

Hi everyone. I'm new here. Have had fibroids since I was 29 - I'm 46 now. They got bigger about 3-4 years ago. I had heavy periods off and on, then mostly on, then they went back to normal for about a year and a half. Now they're kicking up again.

I've been reading about using ibuprofen to control heavy bleeding, but nothing specific. Has anyone tried this and if so, what was the dosage and what were the results? I've also read about Vitamin A and Cod Liver Oil helping with bleeding. Anyone ...

You're so very welcome! Mine was not laparoscopic. It was trans-vaginal. (If that's what you call it.) My fibroid was located at the very top of my uterus so it was pretty much just a straight shot. I did research to find to the very best fibroid doctor in Nashville, Tennessee. My doctor is the department head of minimally invasive gynecology at Vanderbilt University. He's pretty much one of the foremost experts in the field. If you're anywhere near this area, I would definitely recommend him. E...

I have not been on this site for quite awhile and just saw your post. I never went through with the ablation. That was my third time cancelling. I just read too many things about it that I didn't like. I actually had an IUD placed, but had severe pain and had it removed five days later. I don't recommend that either especially if you're like me and haven't had children. So I've been managing using herbs and occasional prescription pain medicine. I will be 50 years old in July, but the doc...

Hi there, I am just new to this group. I was diagnosed with uternine fibroids last August. I am a breast cancer survivor and was on tamoxifen for 5 years so that gave my body a rest from the fibroids now since I have been off the tamoxifen have a great deal of pain with my cycles and they are very heavy. I have no health insurance and can't afford to see a specialist. Has anyone found anything natural that helps with the pain? I really need some support and information as I am really struggling ...

I just started DIM 3 months ago. So far, I haven't seen any change but then again, I just increased my dose so maybe that was the problem. I was on 1 capsule daily and now I'm taking 2. It does cause drowsiness, at least for me it did. Also headaches were a huge problem at first. It seemed like I woke up with a headache every single day for at least 3 weeks but now I'm not having any headaches at all. I know that men are also using this supplement for erectile dysfunction so I would say that the...

Sam, keep eating the iron rich foods combined with a good source of Vitamin C and drinking lots of water. Get a little cardio in when you can - helps boost red blood cell production. Just note: if you want to retain fertility go w/ the myomectomy.

Note: Tampons made my bleeding 100x worse. Find a good giant pad and stay close to a restroom. I kept a change of clothes/underwear in the trunk of my car too. Whatever it takes, whatever it takes. Just be prepared!...
