Nevayda"Mdjunction Tourette Syndrome site has given me the opportunity to share my experience of raising a child with TS, with others, especially those with new diagnosis. Support is essential for families and individuals with tourette as is information. I'm glad to have the opportunity to be there. I also learn as I go as others share their experience and knowledge." Last time I posted i said the neuroligist told me I had a virus in the bone at the base of my skull. I must have misunderstood him because I asked him about it today and he said a virus in the nerve at the base of my skull. I can't remember everything he said, but it did deal with the chicken pox / zostric? virus being dormant in your ganglion?Area but when your immune system is low this happens. I asked how long the virus lasts, he said usually a couple weeks sometimes up to a year. still trying to wean off the oxyconton. I do not want to get addicted to this stuff, but don't want that pain back either. Michele
