I have been through the consultation for the gamma knife for my atypical Face Pain. This is scheduled at the Wake Forrest University hospital. I want to talk to folks whom have had this procedure. I am interested in how painful the procedure is and side effects and of course its success rate. Has anyone had experience at Wake Forest University Hospital in Wake Forest, NC?

What type of doc did you use and what exactly did the procedure entail? Thanks for your info and reply.

My Doctor is in Pain Mgnt. I'm in Dallas Tx His name is Dr. Brian Bruel UTSWMC and I think he is the best. He burned the nerves in my face on the right side. Ask your doctor about that producere and see what he think. Maybe he could call and ask for information on that.

Dear Kathy:

how long does burning the nerves in your face last? what are some of the side effects you can get with that? Hope it is helping alot for you. We all deserve a pain free life from this. Keep us informed. That procedure seems a little safer than the MVD, but I am not sure.
