So, I've found that playing with anti-stress toys, doing puzzles and crochet are helping to keep my hand out of my hair and off my my skin.

I thought that maybe we could help each other by posting different ways to keep pull free and our hands busy.

I love playing with play dough but cant seem to find it in the pund shops so I looked around google and found this play dough recipe page Me and my little sister are going to get stuck in a make some at the weekend.

Once I find a link, I'll post about finger knitting. It's really good for keeping my hands busy, but I'm not good at describing the process.
It's that sinking feeling of being alone, and it's the way it makes you screech and pulls the skin off your bones, and I can't help but think, as I pick my mouth off the floor; Will you still know me in a year?

Also, this may sound silly, but when I switch up my shampoo and conditioner it makes my hair extra soft, and I play w/ it, but am less inclined to pull it out. Even just having two sets of S/C and combining them differently once a week or so does wonders. And it makes my hair look better, so I want to keep it looking nice Smile

I've had to use baby shampoo because I've made my head sore for pulled but it's growing back nicely and not as sore so I'll try that out once normal shampoo stop stinging my head. Glad that it help you not pull as much.

Oh and thanks to the link too, I'll give it ago Smile

Yeah, I remember how sore and puffy my eyes would get from pulling out my eyelashes. Yowtch. BUT putting on mascara for the first time w/ all my eyelashes was a HUGE moment for me, so fighting it was worth it. It probably helped that my mom bought me blue, green, and purple mascara as a reward Tongue

Has anyone trying drawing or painting as a way to stop pulling as much?

Last week I did a painting for my boyfriends moms mothers day gift and it really clamed me and I was so into the painting that I wasn't pulling my hair. This made me feel even better about the painting.

We moved back into the house after the fire on sunday but still haven't had chance to move all the stuff from my moms back here so I did a few little doodles and drawing instead of painting but it also helps. I guess if you just keep your hands busy you don't get time to pull.

Anyone else found anything thats help them? Please feel free to share any tips for ideas that you think works.

I used to draw, but I've gotten out of the habit. Now writing does more for me, cuz I tend to get lost in it, like you with the painting.
