MDJunction to me

saralaurie"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Hello 444kevin,

I am officially the group moderator, as of this week.

There are a number of compensatory things that you can try:

1. Turn your television to a "dead" channel (the one with all of the "snow" and turn the volume up only loud enough that you hear it and it draws your attention away from the sound in your head.

2. Do the same thing for a radio.

3. Ceiling fan/floor fans work great (I have three floor fans in my office and I have a ceiling fan in every room in my house).

4. If you have a fish tank, the oxygen pump/bubbler is great. You may want to move it to your bedroom to help you fall asleep.

5. There are sound machines out there that have sounds built right into them. I see them advertised (every once in awhile).

6. CD's of nature (Rain in the Rainforest, Crackling Fireplace......)

Those are all things that I have done, through the years.

If none of those work for you, let me know and we can come up with some others together.

MoB
