Hello, I have had meiners disease for some time and have always had some form of tinnitus. However, usually it comes and goes but for the past months it has been consistent and loud. Loud enough for me struggle hearing at work which is not good (I'm a police officer). Any thought or hints on this would be greatly appreciated by both my family and my sanity.

Thank You

JonnyB

Hi and welcome to the group. I can only imagine how big a hinderance this is in your feild of duty. And thank you for dedicating your life to helping, protecting and serving the public. PIG = Pride, Integrity and Guts. I salute you.

I've been experimenting with some CDs of Mood Music I bought at a $1 store. Soft guitars, romantic piano, soothing moments. Seems to tone it down for short times. And if you read thru the other posts you will find that other people have gotten CDs from their Dr.s that seemed to help.

Science is making headway in treatments and devices. They are working on a hearing aide device that neutralizes the ringing. It works, just they are getting it down to a comfortable size.

Keep working with your Dr.s and please keep coming here. Someone may find something that works for some of us and put it here.

Any questions or problems feel free to PM me.

Ralph
