so my hair color is hidious! my hair is naturally light brown but i dye it black and i used to keep up my hair every 5 weeks so i would never get roots and it would never fade, welll now my hair is fading into an ugly brownish poop color with a hint of black with these light contrasting roots lol so attractive right!

so am i gonna be able to dye it? and if so WHEN cuz my hair needs some help

if i cant dye it ill gladly accept that knowing im keeping my baby from harm but if it is safe or if any of you guys dye your hair please let me know!

well they say you can after the first trimester just fine and not hurt the baby as long as you wear like a mask thing to not breathe the chemicals in. Idk I don't trust it personally though. In my opinion your body absorbs the chemicals through your scalp, but I mean if the doctors say it's fine then it should be. I would ask yours to see what he/she thinks.

Yea girl I feel you;; I get my hair done every 5 weeks too i didn't even know what my natural hair color was..and then they told me after the first trimester but I was so scared that I would cause some harm lol so i never did it i just let my hair grow out and u better beleive the week after she was born i dyed my hair LOL

but talk to your DR !! Oh and also this will give ur hair more of a reddish brown color but Henna is supposed to be safe because it is all natural AND after I gave birth of course someone told me they make pregnancy hair dye that doesn't have the amonia or other chemicals in it..idk about it but google <3

I used to dye my hair like every 2 months and I would go to extreme in colors. I would go from platinum blonde to jet black, to pink to blue--i love changing my hair! I've dyed my hair twice though during my pregnancy. The doctor told me after 13 weeks I can dye my hair as long as it's in a well ventilated area with windows and such.

I only died my hair twice while i was pregnant.. because it was expensive to get it done every 6 wks and buy baby stuff and all that... I believe i died my hair at 8 wks. My doctor never said anything about it being harmful.... although my doctor didnt even tell me how to use my birth control...But Hawley is healthy so it didnt hurt her.

ok thanks guys im still undecided on what to do, ill talk to my doctor and go from there

I dyed my hair while I was pregnant.. as long as your in a well ventilated room it will be fine.. but like all the other girls said not until after your first trimester

i totally understand. about a month before i got pregnant i decided to dye my hair black but i have this really ugly natural shade of brown. they told me that after the first trimester i would be okay but i just couldn't bring myself to risk it. a week after he was born i died it right back to the red it was before i tried out black but for about 8 months my hair was half black and half brown. not so attractive at all! haha. but not such a high price to pay to have a healthy baby.
