MDJunction to me

liamacker"The part of my recovery plan that I would say made up 80% is MDJ. I suffered a lot prior to finding MDJ, felt alone and had no one to talk to who really understood me. In the Bipolar Group I found like minded individuals who I could relate to and who offered support to me when I needed it. As I recovered, I could then offer support to them which gave me a good feeling about myself. I have met some great people here who I would class as good friends and know I would still be in the slump I was in without them. Now I am stable, I know that MDJ plays an important part in keeping me that way. Thank you MDJ for being there for us all and making us no longer feel alone." (liamacker)

Hi! I'm Sarah, 20, and I have a 6 month old little girl Smile How old are you? Have you told anyone yet? I know it's hard and scary right now, but it does get better once everything gets sorted out! It's important to start prenatal vitamins as soon as possible if you're keeping the baby, too. If you need anything, let me know!

Hi,

I'm 18 and I'm slowly telling people that my family know. It's so hard and confusing. I have no idea where to start on anything.

I'm an Advocate

Hey I'm Gretchen I'm 17 and have an almost 8 month old son. When I first found out I was pregnant I told the people I trusted the most so it wouldn't be so overwhelming at first having a bunch of people know. I would figure as much out as soon as you can so you won't hav to worry and stress about it close to the due date. If you need any help or have any kind of questions please feel free to message me or anything.

Hello,

I'm just concerned on what's going on during the pregnancy. I can't sleep at night, but I sleep great during the day. I hate my doctor that I have. I just recently got hired for a job, but I still have my college payments and everything. I guess I'm just concerned on how I'm going to pay for everything. It's just a whorl wind of emotions and stress. And I know stress isn't good for the baby, but it's really hard not to be stressing when you are freaking out that you aren't going to be able to give it the life that it deserves. And I know there's adoption, but, I really don't think I would be able to give it away after having it be a part of me for 9 months. That's my little "parasite" (my boyfriend's nickname until we know the sex). I'm just lost Sad

Ansomia is totally normal, don't worry Smile You're body knows what it's doing and is giving everything your baby needs. Money, is always a question the pops into everyones mind. Remember you don't have to get them the most expensive things, babies don't need much and everything they use is very temporary. You can get a lot of hand-me downs from communities as well as used toys when he/she is older. You can use cloth diapers instead of disposable, really focus on nursing so you don't need to spend money on formula...ect. Their are a lot of second hand shops and places like craigslist where you can buy cribs, strollers, and swings. Target sells a lot of clothes for under $10 for babies, especially if you look at the sale section. No matter how much you make, put some aside to save up. Whether it's $5 a month or $300 a month, just put it away. Buy small things every month so you aren't spending hundreds of dollars your last month of pregnancy or the first couple months after baby is born. You can do this, don't worry Smile Their are a lot of resources out there to help you. I recommend filing for Medicaid if you need insurance or if you'll need insurance for you baby. Also WIC will help you with basic food needs and baby food later on.
