So Sophie has figured out how to climb stairs...along with everything else. I'd like to get her something that she can climb on so she stops trying to get up the stairs without getting pissed off at the baby gate, and stop climbing into her chair (shes going to give me a heart attacked....).

I've been looking but can't seem to find anything, so does anyone know of anything I can get an almost one year old D': to climb on?

Emuna LOVES climbing too. Might not be the best idea, but I actually just take boxes of diapers and build them in stairs and things and let her climb all over that. She goes nuts with joy!

I agree with Lir, boxes! any kinds, brayden doesnt like to climb, but my brother does and we put all sizes of boxes on the floor and he just climbs from one to other.

boxes don't help Aiden hahaha he can climb those. I would say the baby gate is your best bet unless se can't climb boxes yet.

I think she was asking what things she can use to let her climb things safely...

Okay I read it wrong. No need to jump on me I didn't get much sleep last night due to breathing problems with both Aiden and I. If you find something that discourages her let me know because I am scared to death of him climbing his diaper boxes. He fell one time and gave himself a pretty bad bruise. I do have a step for him to help him get up the couches though. I would rather him climb onto the couch than his rocking chair, rocking horse, and stairs. Also, our steps make it to where there is one step I can't baby gate at the very bottom and I let him climb that and look over the gate. He hates the gate, but he knows he can't go past it.

I wasn't jumping on you, I was wondering if I read it wrong lol. Poor Aiden Sad

Do your babies have fear of heights/know they can fall? Emuna seems to not realize this at all, she'll lunge right off the couch if I don't keep a close eye on her.

jake stays in our family room that doesn't have stairs and the kitchen is closed off so he can't get anywhere else. he doesn't really climb anything. he will climb occasionally climb the stairs if i let him in the living room but usually he just looks at them lol. lir, jake is that way. i can't let him sit on the couch or anything cuz he would just throw himself off.

Soph was doing alright with climbing only certain things (like up on her chair), but today she decided she was going to try to climb up on the couch....which wouldn't be a problem IF when she tried to climb she didn't just put her let up on the couch without bending her knee -.- and she climbs stairs like there's no tomorrow....but now she's trying to climb out of her crib. They had to put her on a cot at daycare because she started trying to climb out of her crib...and she walks around trying to pull out everyone's blankets out. Put her mattress all the way down, and if she tries to climb out of that...I don't know what I'ma do.

Haha well I am looking into a tent thing for the crib. You put it at the top so they can't climb out. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=safari&rls=en&q=crib+tent+safety&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=8831318992180825955&sa=X&ei=C_XoTYH0C6eN0AG4v4mlAQ&ved=0CEMQ8wIwAQ#ps-sellers we are having the same problem with Aiden trying to climb out. Really, there isn't much you can do for the climbing :/
