MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

Matthew will be 3 months old on the 9th of April, and I can count on my hands the amount of times i've been out of the house, other than for doctors appointments and what not, but i dont really consider those to be "fun" so my question to you ladies is, how do you manage to get out and about? the town i live in has litteratly nothing to do, its like a half hour drive to get to the mall, and I dont have my license.

Any ideas would be great, because im starting to feel trapped and latley i've been feeling really down, so im thinking its time to get out a bit more.

Windows and rooms that we're passin' through, this is just a stop, on the way to where we're going, I'm not afraid because I know this is our temporary home."

I don't have a license either and I get really bored being at home all the time. I normally take Paul for walks outside where it's getting warmer and that's really all I do unless my husbands off and then we might go somewhere.

It sucks! But really this is the time to go out, when they still semi sleep a lot and won't give you a hard time. Kyle and I make it a point to go out to eat at least once every other week or every week if we can afford it. It's like the only place I ever went out the first 6.5 months until I got a job, other then running errands.

My advice is purely personal. I am not a Doctor and there is NO substitute for getting proper medical diagnosis and advice.

brayden always gave me a hard time when he was a newborn until 6 months, so i never went out. he was a pain. But i would take him outside for walks, or just sit him in his stroller outside & read a book. so i was out of the house, even if i could take two steps to my door. lol.

thats true, winter does last forever here lol , i kinda forgot that there is an end to it, Tongue once its warmer, even going outside will feel better, being inside all the time is getting old, more so when im having issues with my mom and were in each others face 24/7

and Meaghan, that would be awesome!

I take Sophia EVERYWHERE! I have a good friend with a 7 mo. old boy, and we have been to visit them a couple of times. Also Bret and I take her out to eat with us all the time, if she gets fussy I just hold her until she calms down but she's usually really good out in public (I think because all the noise puts her to sleep). And we try to find one night every week or so when we let one of our parents babysit for a couple of hours and go see a movie or go out to dinner just the two of us. Also I have friends over a lot since I can't come to them as easily. And stroller walks are great when it warms up! (:
