Teen Pregnancy Support Group

hey guys! hope everyone is doing ok. i was wondering if any of you have herd of florence crittenton. it is a place for pregnant teens that you stay...my aunt told my parents about it and my parents are thinking about sending me there. i just was wonderring if any of you have gone there/herd anything about it. i will attach a link to their page.

i've never heard of it. but why would your parents want to send you away?

my mind has been in amillion different places. my grades dropped so much i cant do cheer anymore also for getting in trouble (drug/alcohol) i rarley ever smoke or drink but of corse the one time i do i get caught. go fighre. and so my parents are really stirct. so they think it it will help.

well i doubt that getting sent off will help you.. i would try talking to them and explaining that this has all just been a lot for you and you are trying to adjust. the drinking/smoking wasn't while you were pregnant right? but i would say to try to explain that it was a one time thing and you need to be at home with your support system. all these girls will tell you that EVERYTHING is easier when you have your support system and it's going to be easier to have your parents and friends and everything. i can't imagine it being a good idea to ship you off. idk. :/

I got sent away (not for being pregnant) and if anything, it just made stuff worse for me. Places like that make it seem like it'll be amazing or a good place to go when really you're just miserable and miss home and wanna talk and hang out with your friends. It's kinda lonely, and yeah you make friends there, but there are so many rules anyway that you don't actually enjoy your time. Considering that you're pregnant in a place full of other pregnant girls, it's gonna be even worse with all the hormones raging.

You can tell it's quite scripted, but seriously, it sucked really badly. And yeah, girls come away with these stories of how this place has helped them, but it's so fake because we were all miserable there. We spent most of our time bashing staff and being pissed off about life. I was at this place for 17 months, and I made some awesome friends, but still would never recommend it to anyone. The two other places I went to were similar to this, and again, I wouldn't recommend them.

it was while i was pregnant....thats why my parents were so mad i guess. it was early early pregnancy though. like 9 weeks....but thanks for the input....ill talk to my parents. i didnt want to go anyways lol
