ughh i went to the doctors on friday and of course they weighed me. i wasnt going to look but i did and i gained 10 pounds since my last visit! i guess thats kinda alot to gain that fast ): thats what the doctor lady said. she kinda lectured me about how i eat and i admit i am a fast food junkie (but i dont eat it everyday!) so i do understand why im gaining weight. it just sucks cuz when i feel sick and have a headache sometimes the ONLY thing that sounds good is like del taco or something else bad for me. i mean i do understand that i need to eat healhty but i guess i didnt seem the harm in eating bad once in a while. but she made me feel bad saying i can make my baby unhealthy and if my baby was 3 yr old right now would u wanna give him fast food cuz me eating fast food now is like me giving him fast food.

it just sucks cuz now its just another thing to stress over and i just thought this would be the last of my worries when im pregnnat and i guess not.

she told me i should only gain 25-30 pounds and ive already gained like 15 ): ughh it just sucks. i hate how our bodies change so much and the guys body stays exactly the same yet he just gets a new baby handed to him and im the one whose body has to go thru a freakin nucleur bomb!

Aww the weight does suck, but honestly don't get too crazed about it. I gained 10 pounds also once in 1 month, I felt terrible for it. I mean yes watch what you eat, but this is not the time to be going crazy over it. My rule was to eat at least 1 healthy meal a day with fruits and vegetables. I lost just over 30 pounds in exactly 1 week of losing Emuna (like literally, had a c-section last Thursday and got weighed and then this past Thursday I went in for the check up on my incision). I still have another 30 to lose! I didn't look at the scale after I gained those 10 pounds in 1 month, so I assumed I gained around 45 pounds, turns out I gained 60! Emuna is perfectly healthy, she is so alert and smart for a newborn. Personally I wish I could look at the scale during my pregnancy, I probably would have been able to manage it more-- but I also know myself and I would have really beat myself over the head about it and maybe make unhealthy decisions because of such a strong fear of becoming fat.

It will come off if you try hard enough. Your mindset is PERFECT! Yeah sort of watch what you eat, but you will still have cravings, and this is the time to eat what you want and enjoy it! It's the one thing I miss about being pregnant, I have no excuse now for the extra 30 pounds I have on me.

WE ate out almost everyday when i was pregnant... i gained about 60 lbs too! i gained sooo much wieght... i use to buy cakes from walmart for no reason! i craved chocolate cake and burger my whole pregnancy... i would just eat what you use to when your were not pregnant... and add like one small meal... you dont need that many extra calories... but i used it as an excuse to eat WHATEVER i wanted!

Lir, you had a baby not more than 2 weeks ago! you have all the excuses in the world. lol. what's my excuse, 8 months later for my last 10 pounds? haha.

emily, sweetie. not to worry. i gained 72 pounds with jake. i weighed 217.5 pounds when i went in to get induced. i was absolutely horrified. many months i gained more than i should have. i gained 2 pounds the last DAY. no kidding. and i didn't eat nothing but crap either. my craving was tacos so i'll admit, i did some damage with 89 cent tacos at Taco Bell haha but still. not 70 pounds worth of tacos. by the time i left the hospital, i'd lost 20 pounds. so 3 days later. seriously, between the baby, the extra blood volume, the amniotic fluid and the water you retain, it is NOT worth worrying about. haha.

its just frustrating! like one minute im like screw it i want a burger then later on im freaking out and dont wanna eat but i know i cant do that cuz obviously thats horrible for the baby. its so hard especially know days when girls our age in society are taught to be skinny and look good 24/7 and be skinny. like i know its just what i see cuz when i see a pregnant girl i think they look SO cute! but when i look in the mirror i dont see cute haha especially when its so hot outside and everyone is wearing short shorts and tight tank tops and i just feel like a oomp loompa. lol

dang lir 30lbs in a week! is that normal? or are u just freakin lucky?? haha

hayley i know hwat u mean sometimes at night ill grab the chips and ill think am i really hungry or do they just sound good and using my pregnancy as an excuse.

ps chocolate cake sounds so goood lol

ugh i know how you feel emily! i've gained 30 pounds. ='( i was 100 to start with. it's so depressing and then i see all these girls running around looking all skinny and cute. and are you really only supposed to gain like 30 pounds in a healthy pregnancy? because i still have a month or so to go and i'll probably gain a lot more hahaa. i'm just praying all my weight will be off me by next summer.

Hey, it's so much better to gain a lot of weight then a little. You're not much further behind then me and I haven't gained enough yet - I've gained, I think 14 pounds and I need to gain 28-40lbs- my doctor told me I needed to gain more last appointment and I'd had eleven. Nothing wrong with starting off a bit early, much better than less.
