This is a "getting to know you" game. The rules are simple. You have to answer the three questions of the last person to post and you have to ask the next three random questions. So answer three but ask three new ones. (Lots of time, people want to answer MANY of the great questions, and that's okay!)

However, some rules of thumb:

1. Don't ask yes or no questions unless you add a WHY.

2. Be careful not to ask questions that could get somebody identified or compromised (i.e., what is the name of your street or what is your mother's maiden name)

3. Have fun! (And oldtimers, don't worry if you asked or answered the same question months/years ago)

My THREE RANDOM QUESTIONS for the first person to answer this post:

1. What is the one food you will eat EVEN if you are already full? (Is there a story behind it?) (Me, if nuts are around, especially peanuts or pecans, I cannot help myself.)

2. When you were little, what was the silliest/oddest profession you thought you would be when you grew up? Me, I thought I would be a brain surgeon. (I am the LEAST precise person with eye-hand coordination you will ever know.)

3. What skill would you like to acquire in the next five years and why? (I would like to get proficient to the point of nonchalance with powerpoint for my job.)

So answer mine and ask three of your own!

All of my advice is based on experience and reading. I am not a medical doctor, and have never even played one on TV.

1. Potato chips. A new thing lately. Ugh. It's terrible.

2. It was a toss up between a Rockette and an Ivy League Greek Professor

3. I'm going to (finally) learn how to speak French. I have the Rosetta Stone now I just need to start!

1. What vacation do you prefer, beach or mountains or city?

2. Dog person or cat person?

3. Who was your favorite Beatle?

I'm here to learn, to define and set my boundaries, and to support other spouses/SOs

Be the leader in your home.

1- I love that I am caring. I have seen too many people that just don't give a crap about anyone but themselves. I have been walked on before because I can care TOO much, but I wouldn't give that quality up.

2- I love a ton of movies. ALL time... Wizard of Oz. But the following are up there. Basically if it has made me cry, I like it W00t Big Fish, Click, Free Willy, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, lots of the Pixar movies, and I am patiently waiting for the next Twilight movie Blush

3- My mother and I hanging out, just the two of us. I wish I would have had more time to enjoy her.

New questions:

1- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

2- What is a talent that most people dont know you have?

3- Do you have any phobias?

1 - I would live in Hawaii, I love the weather there and the laid back attitude.

2 - Singing, only family and close friends know I can sing.

3 - I don't like closed spaces, I even panick when I can't get my turtlekneck off. When I had to have an MRI, I had to have it done with a valium beforehand, or it wouldn't have happened.

Questions:

1 - What is your favorite movie of all time and why?

2 - What was your first paying job besides babysitting?

3 - What was your first car?

It isn't my husband's fault he has an illness. It is his responsibility on how he treats it so he doesn't hurt others or himself in the midst of it.

My opinion, is just that, I am here to share my experience, strength and hope to those whose lives have been affected by this disorder :)

1. That's a tough one! There are so many to choose from. My favorite musical is "South Pacific." We had the album of the music to it when I was growing up, and it brings back warm memories. I also read the novel by James Michener and loved it.

2. My first paying job besides babysitting was cleaning a grade school the summer I was 16. The oddest job I had was sacking potatoes at a potato farm when I was in college.

3. My dad bought me an old Toyota Corolla when I was going through my divorce and I had been car-less for several months. I affectionately named it "Spot" because the paint job wasn't the greatest. But I loved it because it was mine.

Questions:

1. What is your favorite part of summer?

2. Speaking of jobs, what was your favorite job?

3. Which do you prefer: books or movies and why.

I love reading everyone's answers! Our group is filled with interesting people!

Okay, to answer:

1. My favorite part of summer is being able to swim in outdoor pools. In New England, that is only possible a few months of the year, but it is my favorite way to swim.

2. I want to say the one I have now. I love teaching, mentoring, writing, researching. But if you meant before the one we have now? I think it would be my time as a Cold Warrior in the US Army.

3. THIS QUESTION CAN CAUSE ME TO GO SLEEPLESS. I love love love to read. And I love love love movies. I can't choose! How about this? I think that "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" was a better movie than book. "Lord of the Rings"? Love the books dearly and also loved the movies (which could have been 10 hours longer, IMO. And "Fried Green Tomatoes" was a much better book than a movie. Books allow me to exercise MY imagination. Good movies take me into someone else's (well, actually MANY great artists' if we include set designers and makeup and writers and directors etc etc) imagination, like a new world.

My turn. (Whew. Sallyo's number three about did me in!!!!)

1. Imagine (gruesome scenario warning, and totally from movies) you are dying suddenly, and have time to give your children (or children of the heart) ONE piece of advice, what would it be?

2. If you HAD TO BE a contestant on a TV show, which one would you choose to be on and why? (Think broadly. This can be Jeopardy but also Storage Wars or Survivor)

3. And another one just for fun. Imagine you have a team of private detectives to command. Who or what would you want to tape to show on Youtube and why?

3.

All of my advice is based on experience and reading. I am not a medical doctor, and have never even played one on TV.

Okay!

A#1. My last words to my little boy (he's only 5 so I don't really know if he would carry this with him, but...)---"Be kind to your Daddy."

A#2. Wheel of Fortune, hands down. I have guessed soo many puzzles, and have been doing it since I was in the second grade along with the TV. I am the best at spelling...compared to all of my family, and way more so than the husband's family. Literally they all spell on a sixth grade level.

A#3. Private Detectives? They would have to follow my last boss-man. Two faced, lying, white-collar thievery....son of a "biscuit-eater." I'm getting angry just thinking about him.

Alright.

Q1--If you could shed your skin, so to speak, for one day and be anyone, or anyhow you wanted to be....What, or WHO would you do? (something that is not like you at all)

Q2--What is you favorite Car?

Q3--When you were little, what was your favorite way to entertain yourself when you were playing by yourself?

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, and
Wisdom to know the difference.
Just For Today.
If you need medical or psychological help...don't ask me because I'm a nut.
I'm NOT an authority on ANY of the issues.
I AM, however still learning, and always will be.
