MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

My spouse has cyclothymia. Currently, he is refusing all meds. His therapist has released him, because he is "functional." Spoke with spouse yesterday evening; he is not aware that he has any needs.Dizzy Okey-dokey Whistling

Due to the nature of the disorder and its predicted path without medication, I must seek a legal separation. He makes decisions without consulting anyone else, which can have far-reaching impacts on our futures.

My Inner Voice is screaming NO. So, since I have no say in his decisions, I must protect myself from his disorder. The cyclothymia is a dictator in our marriage, and dictators do not necessarily have the best interests of all at heart. Blessings to all.

Welcome again, Quakerlady. Your innervoice is very wise, I think.

Did you see Lollipop's response on another thread, that she knows a cyclothymic person who has really benefited from behavioral therapy?

Does he refuse therapy too?

Why does he refuse meds?

When the mood disorder is in charge, get out of the way! Or at the least, I will get splattered with mud....

All of my advice is based on experience and reading. I am not a medical doctor, and have never even played one on TV.
