Thank you Silver and Life. It was all awkward and bittersweet at the same time. I have to admit, I kept looking to see if there was anything left of the man that I loved for 13 years. There wasn't. It was heartbreaking but I was okay with it. Today on the other hand, I felt a little twinge of pain in my heart knowing that he is so far gone and there is nothing left at all of him and that he was going "home" to his OW...

Willtry, It is like a death, and you really have to mourn his loss like you would a death. Sure, you have to deal with Mr. Hyde (Dr. Jekyll is the good doctor, the one who died), but you have to mourn the husband you knew and loved.

I firmly believe in rituals to mark such occasions. Perhaps take a photo of him, write a letter goodbye, and burn both in your fire pit on a starlit night and wish him Godspeed? That's just one idea...

All of my advice is based on experience and reading. I am not a medical doctor, and have never even played one on TV.

Married, I really like that idea. I think I might make a "funeral" and invite my mother and sister to support me. I really feel like I need to bury this all already and move on.

So true Willtrylv and Married!! It is truly like a death...a VERY sudden and unexpected death! Willtrylv, I am really wanting to bury all of this and move on! I waited patiently for almost 5 months (for things to change or know I was ready to bury my marriage) and now I feel like I can't wait any longer...I feel like I want to kick, scream, cry and run away from it all!!
