What is everybody doing this weekend?

It is my godson's birthday, so he is coming over and we will play board games and order Pizza Hut pizza (his favorite---and his mom doesn't live near a Pizza Hut...).

I was supposed to give a talk on Saturday to a big group....but I have laryngitis! It is day two of me not being able to speak without squeaking and scratching. Big lesson to me--I had the flu all week but was determined to not let it slow me down. I should have slowed down, got more sleep, pampered myself. Well, I hope to do a little of that this weekend.

What are your plans for the weekend? Tell us the good, the bad, AND the boring. (And in THIS group, boring is often a good thing. Tongue Tongue Tongue )

All of my advice is based on experience and reading. I am not a medical doctor, and have never even played one on TV.

Boring is often good, never thought I would agree with that married, lol.

Playing games sounds like fun, my boys love to play board games. I have to work at my internship on sat. Then finally going to pick out my mom’s head stone April will be a year, we are a little behind, which means contact with my sis, still a little rough with her. Makes me sad really, I just don’t know how to undo the damage that’s been done.

Sunday DH is off and going to be watching the super bowl, I think I might spend the day shopping, I can’t stand when he yells at the tv, so it’s best for me not to be here.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

I am going to clean up my craftroom/studio. It is a mess. I am going to make some cute valentines out of vintage valentine images for my coworkers - and lots of little monkeys for my kinder-monkeys! My husband is going to a Men's Retreat with church. We might go to a friend's on Sunday - she invited us for the Super Bowl. I know so little about football, I didn't even know it was THIS weekend! I might go yard-selling - but, I usually go with my husband, and going alone is out of my comfort zone. I might just MAKE myself go just to prove to myself I can do it!

I have a crazy weekend, wish it would be boring! I would love to just cuddle with my honey, he has court next Thursday, so could go to jail as soon as then.

I have been crazy busy at work so I have to come in Saturday morning. After that, we must get some shopping done! Our nephew is spending the night on Saturday so I am sure we will go out to eat and play guitar hero on the Wii. But once I get the boys settled (my SO and his nephew) I am off to a girls night out. We are actually going to see the chipendales.... Not sure how that will go, sure we will at least get a nice view and lots of laughs!

On Sunday we will pick up our niece and hang out with both of the kids for a while. Get them home before the super bowl and then just hang out with my SO and watch the game. I wanted to make super bowl themed food for us but as I write this I realize how busy I really will be, and unless me and the niece make something together....

Married- I hope your voice gets better!

I have the exciting, wonderful task of working on our taxes and filing system. So not looking forward to it, but it has to be done. However, I am going to reward myself with watching the Super Bowl on Sunday. And on the Monday after the Super Bowl, our office has Soup Bowl Monday with a potluck lunch of homemade soups, etc. I have to admit I'm way more excited about that than the game this year.

On Tuesday we have to go to the pre-trial hearing for the whole ridiculous HP episode from last summer. Feeling stressed??? Oh yes. After this is all done I think I'll reward myself with a mental health day.

So true about boring being good. On the other hand: Last week my son called (the one who gave me absolute FITS when he was a teen; oh the stories I could tell!) and said his 5-year-old daughter is developing an attitude. Payback time!!! Laughing

I told him that I know from personal experience that having strong-willed, high-spirited, intelligent children means that he will never be bored (his constant refrain when he was a teen was that he was "bored"). Couldn't happen to a better person! Laughing Laughing LaughingLaughing

Married: Hope your voice works for you. Have you tried gargling with salt water?

I'm working a 12 hour shift tonight, changing the locks on our new house before that and the rest of the weekend working normal 8 hour days, trying to do a bit of packing and going to my Greek Sunday school class. Smile

Well I was working on my "biography for the atty" for the separaton paperwork and since i live an eventful life i already have 16pages and I dont want to leave a detail out. I like to get on here late at night, it helps me sleep and it keeps me from making contact. Its been 19days, woohoo!

I will be talking to all of the movers I sent quotes to, by the way NEVER DO THAT ONLINE, you will get calls Non-stop from everyone trying to quote you moving prices. Since i have to decide where I want to move and in what state and find a job, its hard to give them concrete info. But its better than doing nothing.

I will maybe go grocery shopping, go to the gym and try and go to yoga.

I will try and watch my shows on my DVR that is now piled up to 99% full. Yikes

I will clean and get ready for my mom to visit next week.

Finish working on ALL separatiion paperwork and finally email it to the atty and stop procrascinating.

I like this post, I hope you do it each week. It keeps people like me busy so I dont call him or talk to people who wont help but hurt a situation.

I don't think I have talked to you before thewarisover. I just wanted to say hi, and if it hasn't already been said, welcome to the group!

I agree that this is a nice way to get through the weekend, which for a lot of people can be the hardest time of the week!

Weekends are hard. I hope you are able to see the movie, peacefully. Have a nice visit with your mom!
