Blink The letter we received clearly states that he is leaving the clinic and we need to find new pdoc. He gave a list of three pdoc's who were accepting new patients. We started calling around to those dr.s and they told us church lady isn't leaving his clinic, he's not going to be in the group he was in, he's only changing groups. We called and confirmed. We don't need to do anything, we "get" to stay with church lady. I guess we will for now. We don't have to see him very often now that my husband is doing better. This is a really great example of the communication skills of this dr. He probably had his entire caseload in a panic thinking they had to find a new dr. If the new group takes our insurance (they do) they probably take everyone's. So we're stuck with him for a while longer.

Well, we do have a very competant therapist who also has a doctorate in pharmocology. So far, we have been able to ask for certain meds based on our therapist's recommendations (in a sneaky way) and been able to get them prescribed by this freak, I mean...qualified physician. When my husband graduates and finds his dream job next year, we will be on wonderful new insurance and be able to pick and choose which qualified, competant pdoc we prefer. That is the hope. Right now, we're stuck with what he have. Unless I can find a job with decent insurance.

I heard church lady got busted for selling all those seroquel pizzas and had no choice but to go back to the clinic or be sent to Japan to help with that radioactive clean-up crew.

That sounds really bad wife, You would think he would want to protect his client list, who knows maybe he will lose so many from this he has to leave anyway, would serve him right.

Sorry you and hubby are dealing with this!!

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

enough, good point, I didn't even think of that. More than likely, he made up that letter just for us!

lolli, I think he's setting up a stand in his office to sell seroquel pizzas. Gotta make some extra bucks to make up for all the patients he directed away from his office. Dumb sh**.

News flash...

"And in a dazzling display of incompetence, a local psychiatrist sets off a train of suicides and hospitalizations when he sends a misleading letter to his patients, causing them to believe they would have to find a new doctor in a time when the mental health system is sorely overburdened."

I mean, really!

Really????

I have to hit submit or I will start cursing.

All of my advice is based on experience and reading. I am not a medical doctor, and have never even played one on TV.
